For years, there was controversy round CS:GO and its hyperlinks to playing, with many gamers usually trying betting to win skins with excessive financial worth. This follow has been fuelled by various standard streamers over time and with Valve seemingly unwilling to do something about this themselves, Twitch is now placing its foot down as an alternative.

Twitch’s Community Guidelines web page has been up to date with a brand new coverage. As reported by Dexerto, streamers are not allowed to promote skin-betting platforms like CSGO Skins on the Twitch platform. The transfer follows on from a viral YouTube video analyzing the CSGO betting scene, by which it was discovered that over 200 of the highest 300 CSGO streamers on Twitch had been all sponsored by pores and skin betting websites.

Twitch took steps to stamp out real-money playing on its platform, which led to the rise of no less than one main competitor, Kick. If Twitch is critical about clamping down on CSGO playing promoting on its platform, then we might even see among the prime CSGO streamers transfer over to a different platform with much less stringent restrictions.

Of course, Twitch has all the time performed quick and free with its guidelines, particularly in the case of the highest streamers on the platform. With that in thoughts, we’ll have to attend and see precisely what affect this has on the CSGO streaming scene and what number of find yourself being impacted.

KitGuru Says: CSGO playing controversy has been occurring for years, though since 2016, the noise and concern round it did begin to die down. Now with Counter-Strike 2 on the horizon, these discussions are creeping up once more.
