Based on the works of Bram Stoker, author/director Brian Eck presents the tales of three well-known characters from Stoker’s world of Dracula in his brief movie, The Dracula Monologues.

Steve Bishop is the Captain telling the story of the ultimate voyage of the notorious ship, Demeter. Robert Honeywell is R.M. Renfield recounts his encounter together with his grasp to his physician, John Seward. Finally, Carrie Johnson is Lucy Westenra, who speaks of her relationship with the mysterious Count Dracula.

“…presents the tales of three well-known characters from Stoker’s world of Dracula…”

Shot within the easiest method, our three actors are set towards a black background, the digicam is tight on their faces, and sound and lighting results accent their monologues. Personally, I’d have favored the emotion cranked up a notch or two; Bishop, Honeywell, and Johnson give glorious performances akin to radio dramas.

The no-frills cinema expertise permits us to focus in on the story and the phrases spoken by the forged. The Dracula Monologues is a vampire must-watch for any Stoker fan.
