TV Tonight can reveal Stephen Fry is ready to host a brand new model of Jeopardy for the Nine community -but with a twist.
The quiz will likely be filmed within the UK with Australian expat contestants.
Nine is planning 6 specials -not a full series- with Fry as host, to display screen in 2023 or probably 2024.
Filming will happen in Manchester in May produced by Whisper North Limited.
Aussie candidates have to be aged at the least 18 years of age, and a present authorized resident within the United Kingdom. Entries shut May twelfth 2023.
The former QI host can also be to fronting a daytime version of the present for ITV, however Nine will display screen a specially-produced model for Australian viewers.
It’s not the primary time expat contestants have been requested to audition for tv reveals, with Name That Tune and Frogger having beforehand filmed in Sydney with US contestants for FOX and NBC, respectively.
An Australian Jeopardy was final hosted by Tony Barber on 10 in 1993, following earlier variations with Bob Sanders, Mal Walden, Graham Webb & Andrew Harwood. The US model, hosted by the late Alex Trebek, screens on SBS and FOX Classics.
