After spending a few years dormant, Konami has began to revitalise the Silent Hill franchise, with a number of tasks at present within the works. While it was beforehand introduced {that a} remake of the PS2 basic Silent Hill 2 is within the works, it will seem as if the writer in actual fact has a number of Silent Hill remakes deliberate.

As a part of the corporate’s quarterly earnings report (and shared by VGC), Konami supplied an replace on its in-development titles. First, in discussing the MGS3: Snake Eater remake, they acknowledged:

“As for ongoing efforts, we’re working diligently on Metal Gear Solid Δ: Snake Eater, which faithfully recreates the story, characters, and sport design of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, probably the most beloved entries within the Metal Gear sequence, and updates its graphical type to fashionable graphics for the present technology.”

More curiously, the writer appeared to let slip that a number of Silent Hill remakes are at present within the works, saying “…in addition to remakes and fully new entries within the Silent Hill sequence, which gained recognition as a psychological horror sport.”

Currently, Konami has solely formally introduced a single Silent Hill remake – that being Silent Hill 2 in partnership with Bloober Team. Unless the plurality of the phrase ‘remakes’ was spoken in error, it appears as if Konami has numerous cooks within the kitchen engaged on Silent Hill remakes. It will likely be attention-grabbing to see which entry is about to get the remake remedy; maybe the unique Silent Hill?
