Veteran British stage and display actor Joss Ackland has died on the age of 95, his household has confirmed.

Ackland’s household shared a press release with Deadline Hollywood, telling the publication: “With his distinctive voice and commanding presence, Ackland introduced a novel depth and gravitas to his position. He will likely be remembered as one in every of Britain’s most gifted and beloved actors.”

While a explanation for demise was not shared, the actor’s rep Paul Pearson instructed Variety that Joss Ackland – born Sidney Edmond Jocelyn Ackland in North Kensington, London, in 1928 – died “peacefully”.
