SBS World Movies will display screen a collection of Aussie classics in Homegrown Week from Monday, with 2022 characteristic Petrol airing on Tuesday 1 August at 9:30pm.

Petrol is the story of a haunted friendship between two younger girls Nathalie Morris (Bump) and Hannah Lynch, and the invention of the world and self by means of a wierd bond. The movie is quintessentially Melbourne in its setting, town the place it was shot and edited.

Eva, an impressionable movie scholar of Russian background, befriends an enigmatic efficiency artist named Mia who rapidly takes maintain of Eva’s creativeness. As Eva strikes in with Mia and their lives develop increasingly more entwined, Eva units off on a surreal journey of awakening, haunted by desires, fantasies and ghosts.
