When not adapting his personal sprawling mythologies, Neil Gaiman is thought for dabbling in others –– Norse, for instance. For a brand new movie challenge, he is collaborating with Graphic India and The Legend Of Hanuman‘s Sharad Devarajan on Cinnamon, a brand new animated journey.
Co-written by Gaiman and Devarajan, with filmmaker Jeevan J. Kang within the director’s chair, Cinnamon looks like the best mix of a Gaiman story with Indian narrative. Here’s the synopsis: “Born with pearl eyes that render her blind to the bodily world, Cinnamon’s future is formed ceaselessly when a mysterious speaking tiger seems. Offering to steer her via the wonders and trials of the wild, Cinnamon begins a dangerous journey that can form her path and check her resolve. She enters a hidden realm the place the road between the mundane and the paranormal is as skinny as a whisper and the place the traditional knowledge of India breathes life right into a jungle thrumming with secrets and techniques.”
