Microsoft expects Call of Duty Mobile to be ‘phased out’ for Warzone Mobile

Microsoft has stated it expects Call of Duty: Mobile to be “phased out over time” for Warzone Mobile.

Developed by Tencent’s Timi studio, the free-to-play Call of Duty: Mobile was launched in October 2019 and had topped 650 million downloads as of May 2022, based on its writer Activision.

The firm stated on the time that Call of Duty: Mobile had loved a file 12 months in 2021, with client spending “nicely above” $1 billion, following a surge in downloads coinciding with its launch in China.

But based on Microsoft, Activision’s long-term plan is to switch the sport with Warzone Mobile, which is scheduled for launch this 12 months.

Officially revealed final September, Warzone Mobile is being co-developed by Activision’s Shanghai, Beenox, Digital Legends, and Solid State studios.
