Seven News sports activities presenter Pat Welsh signed off final evening after an unimaginable 47 years with the Brisbane newsroom.
Welsh joined the Seven Network as a sports activities presenter and reporter in 1975.
“I began this job within the mid ’70s as a royal younger reporter with one ambition: to inform sports activities tales and hopefully cowl them in a approach you, the viewers, needed to look at,” he instructed viewers.
Well identified for his rugby league and {golfing} commentary, Welsh has lined the Bathurst 1000, Melbourne Cup, worldwide rugby league, Summer Olympic Games (Barcelona, Atlanta, Sydney, Athens, Beijing, Rio), and Winter Olympic Games (Nagano, Salt Lake City, Torino).
